Engineering a Beowulf-style Compute Cluster

The accepted definition of a true beowulf is that it is a cluster of computers ("compute nodes") interconnected with a network with the following characteristics...basically, one bad mama-jamma. The article under this one got me thinking, "I want one!" Well, this is one way of doing it.
